Creating high performing teams and exceptional team leaders

WILD Team Observations On 2009 Success

With an on-going heritage and evolvement of the WILD program spreading back more than 10 years it was clear to see why the events are deemed such a huge success.

Student feedback counts for so much – and they genuinely, not only enjoy the weekends but get so much from them – and in the majority of cases it's the elements that get covered during the weekends that are not being covered in their standard curriculum.

Each weekend is long, tough, challenging and above all fun. The events when we took them over were working, but with the changes made are really adding value.

The work has started, always more to do – but as a headline observation – the new management team are pleased with the overall success achieved in 2009.

The Royal Academy of Engineering

Engineering leaders need more than just technical expertise. They also need to be motivators, communicators, team builders and negotiators. The Royal Academy has helped create the WILD courses to develop those vital characteristics in the promising young engineers of tomorrow.
