Creating high performing teams and exceptional team leaders

Student Feedback WILD1 2009

Student Feedback from the WILD1 Initiative Event 2009.

Learning how to lead a group of strong minded individuals.

Lectures in the evening supported what we learnt in the tasks. Feedback at the end of tasks to help improve how we operated as a team.

I was able to learn about myself and how I can fit into a team – when to lead and when to on different tasks is important to know.

Meeting different engineers and sharing ideas.

The practical application of leadership styles whilst also working in a team.

Enthusiasm of staff running the event.

Meeting new people, learning leadership styles.

Gaining confidence in team working.

Outdoor activities were fun and gave real noticeable feedback on how I could improve my leadership and team work.

I just wanted to email to say I really enjoyed the weekend. I felt like it was a real personal achievement that I was actually able to do all of the activities. It was also great getting to meet so many different student engineers from different disciplines I would also like to put the opinion forward that maybe you should think of starting WILD 3, 4 and 5! It's just so much fun!

Recognising everyone's strengths and weaknesses and working with them.

Congratulations to all the organisers.

Learning leadership style of engineers.

Learning how best to lead different personalities within a team.

Meeting and bonding with other engineers of different disciplines and working together.

Learning about new leadership styles.

Good, detailed feedback about how we did the tasks immediately after completing.

Friendship, enhanced leadership, communication and great memories.

I THINK EVERYONE SHOULD HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO DO A W.I.L.D. COURSE ON DARTMOOR
